Comprehensive Imaging Services

From routine screenings to advanced diagnostic imaging, we offer a full spectrum of radiological services.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

High-resolution 3T MRI for detailed imaging of brain, spine, joints, and soft tissues without ionizing radiation. Ideal for neurological, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies.

CT Scan (Computed Tomography)

Multi-slice CT scanners with low-dose protocols for rapid, detailed cross-sectional imaging of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and vascular system in seconds.

Ultrasound

Real-time, radiation-free imaging using high-frequency sound waves for abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and soft tissue evaluations at the point of care.

Digital X-Ray

State-of-the-art digital radiography for chest, skeletal, and abdominal examinations with minimal radiation exposure and instant image availability.

Mammography

3D digital breast tomosynthesis for breast cancer screening and diagnosis with superior image clarity, lower recall rates, and enhanced detection accuracy.

Nuclear Medicine

Molecular imaging using radiotracers to evaluate organ function, detect tumors, and assess bone, cardiac, thyroid, and renal conditions at a cellular level.

PET Scan

Positron emission tomography combined with CT for precise metabolic imaging — essential for oncology staging, treatment response monitoring, and neurological assessment.

Interventional Radiology

Minimally invasive, image-guided procedures including biopsies, drainages, angiograms, embolizations, and tumor ablations — offering faster recovery than surgery.

Bone Density Scan (DEXA)

Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry for measuring bone mineral density, diagnosing osteoporosis, and assessing fracture risk with fast, low-dose scanning.

Radiology FAQs

Common questions about imaging procedures, preparation, and safety answered by our specialists.

MRI is one of the safest imaging modalities as it uses no ionizing radiation. It uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create images. However, patients with certain metallic implants (pacemakers, cochlear implants, aneurysm clips) may not be eligible. We screen all patients thoroughly before the scan to ensure safety. If you have claustrophobia, we offer open MRI and sedation options.
The radiation from a CT scan varies by body part but is typically equivalent to 1-5 years of natural background radiation. For example, a head CT is about 2 mSv (8 months of background), while a chest CT is about 7 mSv (2 years of background). We use the latest low-dose protocols to minimize exposure while maintaining diagnostic quality. The benefit of an accurate diagnosis far outweighs the minimal risk.
Preparation depends on the type of scan. For abdominal CT or ultrasound, you may need to fast for 4-6 hours. For MRI, remove all metal objects including jewelry, watches, and belts. Wear comfortable clothing without zippers or snaps. For PET-CT, you'll need to avoid strenuous exercise and follow a low-carbohydrate diet for 24 hours prior. Specific instructions will be provided when you book your appointment.
Contrast dye (contrast agent) is a substance used to enhance visibility of specific organs, blood vessels, or tissues during imaging. Most reactions are mild (warmth, metallic taste, nausea). Severe allergic reactions are very rare. We screen for kidney function and allergy history before administering contrast. For MRI, we use gadolinium-based contrast; for CT, iodine-based. Patients with kidney disease may require special precautions.
Ultrasound and MRI are preferred imaging modalities during pregnancy as they do not use ionizing radiation. X-rays and CT scans are generally avoided unless medically necessary. If an X-ray or CT is essential, we use the lowest possible radiation dose and shield the abdomen. Always inform your radiologist and technologist if you are or may be pregnant before any imaging procedure.
